About Me!

Hey there! My name is John Neurohr, pronounced New-Roar. (Like a new born baby, and a lion roaring) I was born and raised in a suburb right outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

My love for theater grew at a young age. I was the type of theater kid that had the entirety of MTI's Broadway Jr. Collection memorized, and ready to go at the drop of a hat.

A recent graduate of The Boston Conservatory, BFA Musical Theater with an emphasis in dance. While at the Conservatory I had the opportunity to explore new and exciting voice technique, physical acting methodologies, directing, voiceover, stage-combat, and devised work that have helped shape me into the well-rounded, hard-working, efficient actor/human/badass that I am.

Between semesters I have had the wonderful opportunity to put what I have learned at Boco into practice. I had the opportunity to perform in Mamma Mia and Legally Blonde (as Aaron Shultz), two dream shows, both at Cortland Repertory Theater. I also had the privilege of working with RWS Entertainment Group, by swinging four new shows in one summer. One of the most rewarding experiences was performing at the Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals, as Private Gomer in Private Gomer, written and directed by Marshall Pailet. I am extremely grateful for the countless number of lessons I learned, and connections I made during these processes.

Currently, I can be found avoiding human contact, wearing a mask, door dashing, and washing my hands. Come August, I will officially be a New Yorker to see what the next chapter holds for me. During this time I'm continuing to grow and learn as an actor, singer, dancer, and most importantly a human being.
